Barnacle Sticky

Always the last message in the channel.

Barnacle Sticky is a sticky message bot. It keeps a message at the bottom of a channel and posts it again as the chat moves on.

The rules, a link or a notice is always the last thing members see.

## Always the last message

When new messages push a sticky message up, Barnacle Sticky posts it again at the bottom and deletes the copy it replaces, so old copies never pile up. It waits for the chat to settle first. Editing the text changes the copy in place, with no repost.

## Channels, threads and forum posts

Put a sticky message in each text or announcement channel, in the chat of a voice or stage channel, in a thread or in a forum post.

## Text, color and images

Write the text with Discord's formatting, give it a color bar, and add images by link. There is no "Stickied Message" header above it.

## Gets along with other bots

By default only people's messages push a sticky message up, so two sticky message bots never push each other up. An admin can turn on reposting after other bots' and webhooks' messages; Barnacle Sticky then waits longer between reposts when only bots keep posting.

## Tells you what's wrong

When a permission is missing or AutoMod blocks the text, Barnacle Sticky says what to fix and where. Pause a sticky message, and its copy stays where it is until you turn reposting back on.
